If you’re planning to brighten up the autumn, what can be better than a Mediterranean vacation? If Spain is your destination, it would be good to consider its weather and fashion trends before you start packing your things.

What To Wear In Spain In Fall?

This country has a hedonistic way of life and a rich history, so the mix of these two gives a unique approach to understanding and catching the spirit of Spain. Spaniards stay true to their original roots, so when it comes to fashion, they’re a bit conservative, but stylish.

Falls in Spain can be very warm; warmer than most of the European countries, but this doesn’t apply to each part of the country. Metropolises, like Madrid or Barcelona, have a moderate climate, so you shouldn’t count on extended summer holiday, but you can also cross the wool coats and furry boots off of your packing list, because the temperature never goes that low.

Here are some tips on what to bring along with you if you’re heading to Spain this autumn.

Metropolis style

Before you put it in a suitcase, all your clothes should fulfill two requirements: to be comfortable and stylish. Spain’s biggest cities have a lot to offer, but they don’t prefer too much of casualty. Pick simple and matching pieces of clothes, like long-sleeved shirts or t-shirts, jeans, and slim pants – so you don’t have to think too much about it once you’re there.

Any classy look is unimaginable without a proper skirt or dress. Consider the latest trend of nude dresses, in lighter or darker tone, which are effective and easily combined for daytime or evening combinations.

Also, layering is a recommended strategy, so bring a leather jacket or lightweight coat and cardigans.

Ballet Flats and Boots are made for walking

High heel boots are a must-have for the autumn in Spain. Heels are generally preferable in this area, but, considering how much you’re going to walk in order to meet the city as much as you can, comfortable flats will become your best friend.

Avoid wearing sneakers, because locals also do too, and bring a pair of nice ballets instead, which will be perfect for a sunny day.

Final touch

As you already know, the right accessories are very important for achieving the perfect stylish look. Even if it’s colder, but still sunny, you will need sunglasses to protect your eyes and hide the marks of last night’s party.

Don’t forget to bring a sash or a scarf because, not only does it look fancy, but it can be very practical for moody days. Jewelry should be more fun, but not exaggerated and not too expensive.

La Isla Bonita

Although one of the 2016 favorites is the Flamenco trend, you shouldn’t force it once you’re in Spain. This dramatic look, with its ruffles, lace, red lipstick, bold eyes, flowers in hair and Angelina’s leg is most certainly chic and sophisticated, but it can seem a little too aggressive. You don’t have to go all the way to Madonna’s “La Isla Bonita” look, but you can show your liking by adding a few details into your casual looks like big chandelier earrings or polka dots print on your skirt, blouse, etc.

These are just guidelines for how to prepare yourself in order to secure the best trip ever. You can adopt and apply them to your personal style, which should be comfortable and represent you the most. Try not to be too showy – stick to deeper and bolder colors, or even monochromatic combination, for complete stylish appearance.
